Three cover studies I designed for the joint project between the Philippine Embassy in Portugal and Universidade Nova de Lisboa. This book is about on the historical information and materials, from 16th to 18th century, relevant to the Philippines in Portuguese archives and libraries. The first cover is a simple line illustration of a typical shelving of an archive/library. A photo from the website of Portugal-Philippines: Connected Histories was used in the second cover. In the last cover, fine illustrations of Arquivo Nacional Torre do Tombo, Arquivo Histórico Ultramarino, and Biblioteca da Ajuda were created and provided by illustrator Relly Coquia.
